Boys & Girls Club of Vermillion has a fee-based structure to support operation, programming, and staffing costs as Club staff and Advisory Council members work to seek and build community relationships and partnerships. BGCV’s goal is to provide a safe, positive, and affordable program available for all families in the Vermillion community.


Having only operated out of borrowed school spaces before, Boys & Girls Club of Vermillion received a space of its own in the summer of 2024. The former Austin Elementary school became the new home of BGCV. The staff continue to work on the space, making it a safe and inviting place for Vermillion youth to come.

  • Traditional Club

    The Traditional Club offers a safe, welcoming, and engaging space for school‑age youth in grades 3–12 to connect with friends, explore interests, and participate in a wide range of enrichment programs, all guided by caring mentors who believe in their potential.


    Unlike our Academy program for JK–2nd graders, which operates as licensed childcare with structured schedules, state‑regulated staff‑to‑child ratios, and tuition fees, the Traditional Club provides more flexibility for families and a wider variety of interest‑based programs for older youth. Thanks to grant funding, Traditional Club membership — typically $100/year, is now FREE  through June 30, 2026.



    This expansion reflects our commitment to meeting the needs of more families and creating age‑appropriate experiences that help every member grow.

  • Academy

    Our Academy Program serves JK–2nd grade members in licensed, high-quality spaces that provide structured care, hands-on activities, and support from caring staff every day after school. Registration is completed online.


    Vermillion Afternoon Academy is $150 per month and is open after school until 6:00 PM. Youth enjoy a daily snack and participate in fun enrichment programs.

  • Vermillion Tutoring

    Boys & Girls Club of Vermillion was awarded $1.1 million over five years through the 21st Century Community Learning Centers program. This funding supports a partnership with area schools to expand FREE after-school tutoring. Teachers will refer students based on reading and math needs, and a full-time Education Director will run the program.


    Pilot tutoring began in Fall 2022 at Vermillion Middle School. The grant now gives middle and high school students access to academic support, family engagement resources, transportation help, mental health services, and healthy food options.


    Tutoring takes place at the Club’s new location in the former Austin Elementary School.
