I believe one of the most important elements in a child’s education is the relationships they build with peers and their environment. One of my greatest goals is to help children learn how to interact with their environment and their peers in a safe and kind manner. I prioritize getting to know every child individually and using that to build our classroom culture and space around all children’s needs and interests. This collaborative approach transforms our classroom into a vivid example of teamwork, wherein both the children and I collaborate to nurture our environment, ensuring its safety and welcoming nature for all. Through play, we facilitate the acquisition of social skills such as sharing, conflict resolution, emotional regulation, and recognizing our feelings. By attaining a deep comprehension of ourselves, alongside the ability to safeguard our surroundings and nurture friendships, we are then able to advance and refine our academic capabilities, ultimately preparing for the journey into Kindergarten and beyond.
