The Academy is designed to provide safe, educationally enriching environment for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade during the hours before and after school, and all day during the summer, when adult supervision may not be available.
ABOUT THE ACADEMY
Our staff members are experienced in the area of child care and are required to maintain current levels of training every year. Staff members are trained in a variety of important areas including Child Development, CPR, and First Aid.
The Academy is located at Stewart Elementary School.
The Academy was established in 1995 in Yankton, SD, to serve the needs of the elementary students before and after school. In 2000, the program expanded it's services by offering an all day summer program. In 2007, the JFK Board of Directors signed a cooperative agreement with the Boys & Girls Club of Yankton in order to enhance the services provided by the program.
