WELCOME JK!

Boys & Girls Club of Moody County is excited to announce the addition of a new Junior Kindergarten afterschool program. The program will begin with the 2022/2023 school year. Afterschool care for junior kindergarten age youth has been an apparent need in the Moody County community, and the Club has worked with the school district to create a plan for adding this program to their offerings.

JK programming will be held at the Boys & Girls Club of Moody County, maintaining a ratio of 1 staff to 20 students. The JK program will run Monday through Friday, from after school until 6:00 PM. On non-school and snow days, programming for JK members will be offered and available at the Boys & Girls Club of Moody County traditional site from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Advance sign-up will be required on scheduled non-school days. All JK members in attendance must pay an annual $25 membership fee and have gone through parent/youth orientation. No drop-in members will be allowed at the JK site. Snack will be provided daily and is included in membership fees.

Located in Flandreau, SD, the Boys & Girls Club of Moody County is open year-round, offering impactful youth programs. The Moody County club currently has over 150 members and serves an average of 75 youth per day.



Most importantly, the Boys & Girls Club of Moody County provides a safe place for youth to build relationships, develop new skills, and be part of a caring community as they learn more about themselves. These important developments occur while the youth spend quality time with a well-trained, energetic, and fun-loving staff.

We here at the Club feel fortunate every day to be doing what we love to do, helping youth develop into productive, responsible, and caring citizens. Membership fees are $25 per child annually. However, no child will be turned away due to an inability to pay."
